Jakes, I'd thought about doing that but never have actually gone ahead and done it. Seems like you'd definitely have to make sure you've got the hooks pointed forward instead of backwards or sideways. I'd bet your feathers would wear out a lot quicker if you got them bassackwards or sideways.
I like rug rests too. Nothing beats 'em for quiet.
