Default RE: Has anyone switched from carbons back to aluminum

I started bowhunting four years ago. My arrow of choice was ICS Bemans, top end carbons. After four years, I just last week ordered a dozen Easton ACCs. I'm pretty much done with carbons for the reason others have mentioned - inconsistency from arrow to arrow. The problem in my opinion is with spine inconsistencies, and if you really take the time to shoot a whole batch of carbons (ICS Bemans anway, since that's all I've shot) with broadheads, and record each shot, you'll see some eye-opening results. In my experience, you're lucky to get 5 out of a dozen that fly to the same spot.

Speed doesn't really matter that much to me, since my KE is in the light side of the range for elk I choose to limit my range to 30 yards anyway. So I'm returning to a heavier arrow, and may keep moving further in that direction in coming years.
