Did you have the Whiskers actually served in tight and then clipped into a small "Puff"?
I have seen (or should say heard<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) what you are talking about with overly long whiskers.
Mine are all served in very tight and then cut to flare out into small, maybe half dollar or smaller &quot;puffs&quot;. They've worked great for me like this......very quiet and durable.

I do agree that Leeches work very well, but I'm a bit leary to try them again (even the new Kevlar ones) because of their breakage history. Got whacked above the eye by one once and that was the end of the Leeches for me......plus I shoot so much that the durability is a big concern.
I probably am loosing 1-2fps more over the Leeches even tied extremely short, but I know that they aren't going anywhere, and they work very well the way I use them (I can't tell any difference VS Leeches)
I hope you have good luck with them......do you know if they are the new Kevlar version? I have yet to really hear if they are holding up.
