RE: Velcro vs Leather for Arrow Pass

Have you ever tried the hook side of Velcro? I tried it once and really liked it, but it's not as quiet as I'd like.
I use the Martin rug rests now, cheap and effective, but I like those self adhesive calfskin strike plates best.
