I agree wholeheartedly that recoil is all in the perception of the shooter and varies with rifle design and load. It's almost impossible to tell what a shooter will be sensitive to. I, for instance, love to shoot my 7.82 Lazzeroni Warbird, 270's, 06's, 7mm-08, all are just fluff guns, but my BLR in 450 Marlin goes off, it's dam--d unpleasant. Go figure.
