Since Ohio is a shotgun state, I would rather use a muzzleloader than a shotgun now. For many years I hunted with a shotgun in Iowa and started muzzleloading last year and fell in love with it. It's way more accurate than a shotgun and also is a bit more challenging as you only have one shot, but that's all you need anyway if you do the job right. If I was to hunt during a shotgun season now I would automatically take the muzzleloader and leave the shotgun in the safe.
