Speaking of straight down shots, early on in life I was hunting with a recurve and a back quiver. I was 15 and had never taken a deer with my bow. A doe comes in and stops directly under my stand. I lean over to shoot and all 5 arrows in my back quiver pour out over my head and onto the deer below before I could release. As the deer went supersonic running away I could hear my cousin laughing a couple hundred yards away. He had been watching me the whole time with binocs. He kept telling my uncles and anyone else that would listen that I had hit a deer with 5 arrows and we never did find it.
