My grandfathers neighbor just gave him a stevens-savage 887 22lr semi-auto rifle with a tube magazine. My grandfather tried it the other day and it was misfirring and jamming. He allready has more guns than he needs so he gave it to me. Apon inspection I have come to the conclusion that this gun was never cleaned. I broke the rifle down and lookwd down the barrel and all the rifleing looks fine and there wasn't any rust. I soaked all the parts in a solvent let then dry oiled and put it back together and it and the action is much better. My question is how do I remove surface rust from metal parts and reblue. Any help would be appreciated thanks. Oh, does anyone own this gun and how many rounds will it hold. Thanks
