Default RE: CWD in wild deer in NY

Im not sure. While we all agree that nobody knows too much yet, the facts we think we know say this much...it doesnt appear to be passed neonatal, but again, who really knows? My gut feeling is that it exists in very limited amounts anywhere. Most of the deer found positive are not showing signs of being sick, rather theyre just random tested deer. Being that we have the captive deer to be able to monitor and test, we will find a first positive. Maybe when other states also start seeing this, a trend might be recognized. It may still be the result of taxidermy/butcher waste contact. The clues out there point equally to the catives infecting the wild, and the wild infecting the captives. NOBODY, even the very vocal "so-called" experts can know which way it is.

Strut, Im with you, I too feel its somewhat isolated.
