they didnt make a peep till they hit the strut zone right in front of me. i could only see 2 toms, a shrub was blocking the rest. i picked the biggest and got him at 10 paces... i am pretty sure i didnt get the BIG OL BOY, so i will be after him with the recurve for the next part of the season.

for this bird i used my 11-87 12 with a super full tube and 3" winchester #6 supremes, a bit of over kill in this situation! i had a hen about 2 feet away putting at me hard, so thats why i didnt wait for the other birds to present themselves.. i was home drinking coffee and showing the bird to my kids by 6am. real nice day!
