I'm not saying mossberg is bad but don't get that one. First I was
going to buy one and my dad said no because it is a piece of junk.
If you get a rifle get one for your money. Put it this way my dad said

"To put it bluntly Mossberg 100 is crap.A 12 year old could machine a better rifle. The action is incredibly rough,finish is poor,fit is poor. I wouldn't waste my money.I hvae said before I would rather have a Remington model 710 than this rifle.
For about a hundred dollars more you could get the Remington 700($379)
Howa 1500/Weatherby vanguard($388),Winchester model 70, Charles Daly mauser($349
Savage 110. Any of these will serve you better than that mossberg rifle.
Mossbrg makes a heak of a shotgun, but stay away from the rifle" That was
