Yeah - that is a good plan -
Some of the Older Seed heads will help to reseed the plots later on. But - keep in mind that as the plot matures - you will want to mow each strip before 2/3 of it is "in bloom". This forces the clover plant to "refocus" its energy on growth - rather that on seed production.
Usually - the last mowing of the Summer - will have ALOT of seed heads.
