I have used it gun hunting when raining. Wore Camo but I'll tell you it's incredible how much you can get way with in terms of movement. I would think either would work. The key is to make sure you don't have an open window behind you. Regardless of what you have on the open window can silhouette you and thats when your movement will show.

This is a shot of one 57 yds out (wouldn't come any closer). 2 of us in the blind. The guy with me was taking picture while this bird strutted and gobbled right out in front of us.
