I agree with you Solitary Man. Mine is a 300 WBY, one of the older L691 Sakos and I wouldn't want it any lighter. I'm fairly large so I don't think the weight affects me as much. Anyway, I like the feel of a solid rifle and not a plastic one when I'm shooting a stout cartridge.
