congrats!! nice bird.....you dont look to be 1/8th of as wet as i was....lucky....i had POURING rain clear till 8am....then a steady hard drizzle with some heavier showers the rest of the day....plus fog till 8ish....my buddy rolled a longbeard this morning and it was completly soaked....feathers all down and all......must been a lot wetter here.......but i had a good morning....no bird...but good morning......congrats....nice bird.....busting those hens probably did save you...i hate loosing to hens!!!!! i called in a jake and a long beard....they both gobbled hard off the roost at first...then the jake shut up when i started talkin with the boss tom....he had a lonnnnnng deep throaty gobbbbbbbbbbbble obbbbbbbbble obbbbbbble.......i knew he was boss.....i saw the 2 heads poke out in the field and thought the jake was going to be a hen....the boss strutted around for 5 mins 40yds out...the jake snuck around got in the woods and came RUNNING at me....5 yards away we had a stare down...the boss made his way in to 25-30yds away..but i couldnt move....but that jake never gobbled once...he knew he woulda been beat....im sure the boss beat him hard core for running at me.....if i didnt blink i bet they would have fought....or i would had TWO birds starring me down...but i had to blink and got busted.....
