Stealth Force, I don`t see the posts you are refering to! Who is telling people NOT to shoot light, fast arrows? I have seen some suggestions by some obviously knowledgable archers that going to extremes may not be good.
Also, just where are these tests that show mech. heads outpenetrating a quality fixed blade? How were they tested? And, what mech. penetrates the best?
I have used mech. in the past, and don`t tell anyone, but I am going to use them in PA this year. But back to the mech. that out penetrate a fixed blade. Please tell me which mechanical head this is, I don`t mind dumping 30 bucks just to see for myself.

And your analogy about the slingshot and the cannon does`nt hold water. Hit me with a slingshot and I`m coming directly at ya! Miss me with a cannon, I`ll probably run!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
