My buddy has a 3x9x40mm tasco and I have the same in Bushnell. Mine seems to be a little brighter then his. You may want to try that brand. As for equiping a $150 scope on a Marlin.. just seems a little silly to me.. You can get a descent brighter scope for well less then that. Of course I believe that is what you are looking for.
