Default RE: Boot advice??

My experience with boots is that you usually get what you pay for. Rubber boots would be a good option and they are usually considerably cheaper than leather or Camo-fabric boots. They are water-proof obviously, no scent and come insulated for warmth.

I wear a pair of Rocky Boots. The high-top kind. They are water proof with a gore-tex lining all the way to the top and comfortable. I got them for $99 on sale. The sole is a bit soft and while in Argentina recently I had numerous thorns (all the trees have thorns over there) stick into the bottom of the thick sole. A minor annoyance. All in all the performance has been good though.

Just don't expect the same performance from a Rocky Wild Cat boot that you will get from a pair of Bear Claws or higher priced boot. If you walk a lot, comfort is the key!
