Default RE: Weekend Warriors

smoky you are so right in putting family first, my hat is off to you. I have taken a different tact in that I take my twins hunting with me. I do not know how old you are, but when I was much younger I was like you and had very little time to hunt. I watch young people jump from one job to another to make more money, but in the long run I am far happier than them. Although they may make a bit more than me, when I spend opening week of bow, blackpowder and gun in the woods while they are working away with no vacation time I grin sitting in my stand. I have 20 years with the same company and take 3 weeks off every year for hunting and still have vacation for the whole family to boot!

I guess what I am doing is trying to give a word of advice to the younger folks here, once you find a company you are happy with, stick with them, time spent on vacation with your family or hunting is woth far more than money.
