Default RE: what grain should I use?

I hunt antelope, deer, and elk w/the 165 grain. It is more than I need for the deer and antelope at the ranges I shoot, and has done short work on any elk I've shot (again at the distances I shoot), but I personally like the same round for all of my hunting. I'd shoot a moose or black bear with it with confidence, but honestly would probably go with a 220 for moose anyway, and for grizzly. Shoot what your most accurate with. Your confidence and subsequent accuracy (ie bullet placement) will have more effect on lethality than the weight. Shoot within a range that will give you the best performance per the weight and design of the specific cartridge you decide to go with.
