Default Performance of Nosler Accu Bond on elk?

I've been shooting my 7 mm Remington mag. at the range alot in preperation for an upcoming elk hunt this fall. I've been shooting Remington Core-Lokt's just because they are cheap to shoot and will allow me alot more practice. I decided to order some premium bullets, I don't reload, to see which ones will be more accurate out of my gun. I ordered all shells in 160 gr. and tried Remington Safari Grade Swift A-Frame ptd sp, Remington Premier Core-lokt Ultra psp, Federal Nosler partition, Federal Barnes Triple-Shock X-bullet, and Federal Nosler Accu Bond.

The Federal Nosler Accu Bond was definately the most accurate out of my gun. Has anyone tried this bullet on big game, especially elk, to know what the on game performance is? I know if the bullet hits the vitals with a perfect, no large bone, impact the result will be predictable. But, how does this bullet, with a "plastic tip", perform on impacts with large bone in a less-than-perfect shot placement. Anyone have any feedback?

According to the data on the box of all these shells, the Accu Bond delivers more downrange velocity and energy than all the other shells I tried, 2280 fps & 1850 ft-lbs at 400 yds. I like this shell! Can I depend on it in a less-than-perfect shot? Thanks to everyone, I've learned alot on this forum!
