I agree PA, it does depend on what type of land you hunt as well as where you hunt. Granted, there are some areas that just have a very low DD so those hunters are going to complain about not seeing any deer. However there are those as well that hunt heavily populated areas that would say the opposite. For example we hunt lycoming county and have heard from numerous camps that there are no deer left along pine creek but we took 4 buck all 8 points or better and 6 doe in two days last season just a mile from those same people who were complaining. Heck you could talk to two different people from my camp who hunted just a few hundred yards from each other and get different stories. I for one saw roughly 40 deer in those 2 days while my uncle saw none. He would argue there are no deer left and I would say there are more deer now than before and we were just yards apart.
