Guys, I've seen the turkey scoring formula and I understand it fine. What do you do about multiple beards? Do you add them all or just score the longest?
You measure each of them and then add them together.

I guess I am not really familiar with the area I will be over by Cadott I have a family member that owns a bunch of land over that way. You have good luck at your spot?

Ya..had a chance the last 4 years now but only took one... I pass the rest of them up, the past 2 years i havent shot one now because we've had a state record right in my same field i hunt in, just to far away and its very hard to get him out... a professional went last yera and couldnt get him out. This year we have lots of good size toms and alot of jakes. so what about you???

That sounds like a great place. Ya I go to the black hills in SD just about every year and hunt outside Hill City about 5 miles from mount rushmore I have been ther five years now and have never not taken one by end of first day. Here in MN i have good luck I hunt hard to get my bird here usually takes a two three days here. Then in Wis i have only been twice and got one on the first trip and only had a day and a half on second trip lots of jakes in close but big gobbler hung up at 60 yds and just wasn't comfortable at that time taking that long of a shot. So usually I hunt three states a year and take 2 to 3 birds every year.

So I know this is debated on here a bit but what bout for our team how far of a shot will you take at a bird.

And what is your gun comb. I shoot a winchester SX2 just had a bushnell scope mounted this season do to a diease in my eye(scary since i am only 26 and need a transplant already) Use a carlson choke tube and winchester extended range ammo and it patterns great out to 60 yds but still not real comfy shooting that far almost all of my birds have been taken under 30yds.

I shoot a plain old Mossberg 500 with the standard full choke, 3" Win Super X #5. I've killed one at 35, but more often I shoot them at 20-25.
