Our season doesn't start until May 1st and I saw a tom in full strut on my way to work today .... what the heck .... they will be too tired to come into a call by May if they arte messin now .. :D

I really think he will appreciate itonce he gets over me spending some money on him.I know he has done more for me then anyone else in my life, so I want to give back to him alittle and this is a way I think he will appreciate.Him and I love hunting together, and I can't wait tillthis springas he has said over and over that turkey hunting has become justasmuch, or more fun to him then deer hunting.


I heard some turkeys the other morning gobbling alittle off my deck, but justthree or four times then nothing, and that was right at daylight. Haven't heard nothing since, and saw a couple turkeys on my great uncles place this afternoon when coming home.No strutters that I could tell, but a smaller like flock with probaly8-9 birds in it. We are getting ready to coolback downinto the 50's durning the day from the last few that have been in the 70's and sometimeslow 80's. Man it was nice the past5 days....I can't wait till the end of April. :D

I don't know about you guys but, I'm just sittin' here twiddlen' my thumbs. I've had my gear together since bow season ended in january. Got all my tags together a couple weeks ago. Got the gun patterned. Birds are sittin' pretty. IT'S KILLIN' ME!

My nephew will be getting back from Tech-school in the Air Force .....he and Andrew will be accompanying me that first week of turkey season ... I am super excited as Adam will be heading to Alaska for his assignment!! We will be going after slightly bigger game up there in the future :)

That's cool, PreacherTony. I'll be hunting with my nephew first too. During MO youth season. He's only seven, he got his first deer last year with his daddy. I'm gonna film his first turkey. Can't wait!

Sorry I been off for awhile. I just got a new computer and have been working on getting it set up and all the favorites fixed back. But I am back online and ready to go.....season here is just over a month out...I guess I will pass some time next weekend when I'm Bristol for the race.

Well I think I got almost everyones address now. If anyone hasn't sent me their address in a pm, do so! That way the day the hni stickers arrive I can get them mailed out.

Anyway, this thread is about dead.....lets liven it up some. Anyone that wants to post pics, stories, or anything to keep us posting then feel free to. I know some places(like here) turkey season is about 7-8 weeks out but thats no reason to not bs and look ahead to the season.

We can't hunt for another 4 weeks but it sure is fun going to some of our local state parks and playing with the birds. Of course they is NO hunting allowed on the parks but there are sure plenty of birds.
I agree lets get this thread moving and keep it up at the top where we will be at when its all over.
