In less than 4 weeks we'll be getting my partner's first bird. Here's his first deer from last year.

The first time I went turkey huning in kansas, I had a pretty hard time hunting on the public land. Every time I'd have a bird comin to me it would get shot before it came into sight. Managed to get this bearded hen the last day I was there.

Nice....a bearded hen would be off to the taxidermist if I took one. LOL. Of coarse I have a addiction with wildlife mounts, and a bearded hen would be just another reason to get something mounted.

Last year I got to hunt a friend of mine and his son durning the youth day hunt here in WV and had a blast. The young man took his first turkey, and it was great for me to be there with him and his dad with the video camera.

Later on this post I'll get some pics of my pieballed button buck mount, my two bucks fighting, the jackalope, and my few squirrel mounts. I also got a nice truck that I like sharing pictures of.

I'm not, I can't start hunting until April 18. I went out this morning and played (tried to) with the birds in the park . Heard 3 or 4 gobbling but nothing would responde to the call and they shut down by 7:15 am. Pretty typical for this time of the year. I did see a tom breeding a hen right off the side of the hwy this morning. It will be just about right by the time season opens. I cant wait but I will.

No hunting here yet....I think it's like right at the end of April before we start. So I got a month atleast left. I will be hunting mushrooms before then though. LOL. I also had a great trip to Bristol this past weekend. Damn am I wore out though....but had an amazing time just like every race I go to.

My project for this week is touch up painting on pretty boy and pretty girl...and I also have to keep my fingers crossed that I get drawn for a elk tag in Ky. If not me then my grandpa for sure.

BTW, I forgot to mention that at the race Bowtech had a small trailor where you could shoot the newest bowtech bows. Got to shoot the Admiral and the Captain both. Pretty nice rigs, but nothing anymore special then the drenalin.
