Alright arjuna!!! congrats!! I went down south this weekend, and tried to locate some birds, found plenty of recent and fresh sctratches on the forest floor and thought i heard a distant hen once around 11am. we had frost both mornings and it wasnt really warm until noon, but will be heading down again soon, I hope all you had a good weekend and wish you guys luck ,

One month to go
Seems like a year saw about 10 birds yesterday on my area so I am pumped
Couldnt resist so I gave a call gots some looks but no gobble
Should I be concerned?
Should I keep quite from now on?
Just wanted to know if my call would work?
Dam I dont want to wreck this but its my first year and I am dieing to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called one up last Saturday for the FL opener for a first time hunter...he missed at 10 yards....

that's all I can do .

Just got back from Quebec and I noticed a strutting Tom in a field not a half a mile from the Quebec Ontario border. What a success story from 274 turkeys in 1984, the number has grown to over 90,000 birds.

I'm leaving in 4 hrs to drive to AL to see if I can call in another one. Wish me luck. I don't know how many more times I'll get to go....Holy Week is next week. I'll be wrapped up in church work. Then only a couple of weeks left.
