guys i'm finally checking in from my home computer I thought I would never get it back. Hope everyone is doing well I should have another bird to score saturday morning. I'm going to try to kill both of my KY birds with my bow. I went to one of my farms this morning and saw 8 strutters so it looks pretty good.

4 days and not a gobble. I'm going nuts. We did have some excitement last night with 3 tornado's passing within 1/2 mile of our camper. We had already abandoned ship and stayed with friends. One of them tore our lease up cutting a swath through it. That particular twister was on the ground for nearly 35 miles. Hope I hear one in the morning. Funny thing is we're seeing a lot of single hens and at all hrs. of the day. You would think they would be tearing the woods apart.

well boys nothing to show for today except a limp. had to be at work at 7 so i get to my work place at 515 because i work and hunt the same area. so im getting set up and i hear a gobble about 100 yards down the powerline, so i take off down thre step in a hole and twist up my knee[&o]get back up and limp on down. get set up again. and he is gobbling his head off about 100 yards in the woods by now its 545. i wait till light and i hear a few puts behind me ad here come 2 hens not 5 yards away! they jsut putted and looked and kept walking right to the gobbler. Needless to say im icing my knee and i will be back after em thursday after this storm blows through. On the upside of things i did see 2 very nice gobblers about 10-11 inch beards on the both of em right where i was sitting in the morning. so they are in the area just a matter of getting on em before i gotta be at work. I will keep ya posted, happy hunting

Just a couple more days and it's turkey time. Leaving Friday to do a little scouting and to hopefully roost some birds and Saturday it will be shooting time. Wish me luck and will post with results...

Got a nice 2 year old bird this morning, I saw a monster gobbler, I pretty sure it bred with an ostrich, it honestly was the size of a swan! I'll post the score after school.

Congrats on the bird nick, I got my new bow yesterday and got my turkey terror broadheads dialed in so hopefully I will stick one for the KY openner on sat. Guys before you buy a new bow shoot the Truth 2 bow by bear, I thought I would never own anything but Matthews and bowtech untill I shot the truth 2, I was amazed.

We pulled up to the gate at 5:40 AM. I let out a soft tree yelp, and the gobblers went nuts. This was the closest bird, which was about 200 yards. We set up about 10 yards off the high side of a bayou/ditch thing. The morning before the birds stayed in the roost until at least 7:15AM. This tom was horny! He flew down in the dark, at about 6:00AM. He popped his dead over the ditch at about 6:15AM, gang! he ate a face-full of 5's. We took pictures, dressed, and put it in the fridge all before 7:00AM, just enough time for me to make some breakfast, walk the dogs, and get my butt to school. My principle wasn't happy when I showed up with a couple splats of blood on my shirt. The last couple of days, my uncle tried to get me a turkey using his ways, which is pushing birds through a funnel, and blasting them. I have taken a couple birds hunting with him by his way, but there is nothing like pulling a bird off the roost, full strut, going nuts in your face, and beating up your decoys!

Killed this one yesterday morning with my bow.
23.12lbs
10 3/4 beard
both spurs 1 9/32
23.12+21.50+25.62=70.24
Well it keeps saying file is to large so I will post the pick when I have more time. I talked to dan and he has been down in Georgia and his computer crashed so he will be back in a few days.
