Garrett - your avatar gets me fired up everytime I see it. You guys keep thinking of a name. There has been a lot of them used over the years. Some of my favorites are Morning Thunder, Gobblin' Fever and Jelly Heads. I'm sure you guys have some better ones.

Any one hearing some birds yet?

I had 4 long beards going a couple weeks ago. they were out in the middle of a corn field strutting i came by a while later they were right by the road and they gobbled twice for me.

What kind of birds is everyone going to be hunting? It will be Rio's for me.

I work about a mile away from where I hunt and almost every time i drive by my work I see a group of about 8 longbeards. You know how hard it is to drive 20 yards away from those things and cant do anything but just watch?? I guarantee you, one of those birds will be dead this year!

I feel your pain. I live 2 miles from a massive winter flock (300-350 birds). I hunt right across the road from it. It is truly amazing listening to them wake up in the morning.
