My name is Dan. I hunt in California. Our season starts on March 23rd, and runs into mid May. I hunt mainly on two pieces of private property that I have access to, which total about 1,200 or so acres. Really looking forward to a great spring season.

I work about a mile away from where I hunt and almost every time i drive by my work I see a group of about 8 longbeards. You know how hard it is to drive 20 yards away from those things and cant do anything but just watch?? I guarantee you, one of those birds will be dead this year!

I feel your pain. I live 2 miles from a massive winter flock (300-350 birds). I hunt right across the road from it. It is truly amazing listening to them wake up in the morning.
