Finally saw some strutters today. Not where I will be hunting, just saw them driving. Damn near put the truck in the ditch when I first saw them. [8D]

That just lit a match under my fire! Lets get this whole turkey hunting thing rolling!

Can't wait to get out and do some scouting. I hunting this farm for the first time last year, and I mean I hunted it a ton. I got a very good idea of where numerous roosting spots are aswell as strut zones. Alls I need is a bird to cooperate and it's a done deal.

I would think they would too. I pretty much rely on morning gobbling to let me know where the turkeys are. But ive been hunting the same properties for 7 years now and they are always relatively in the same place.
Werd. Being able to hunt the same piece of property is a nice luxury. I can hunt my 52 acre farm. We killed several deer outta there this fall and we saw a good deal of turks too. It was the same way last year, we'd see em in the fall and then they'd be no-shows in the spring. I guess they just don't do any nesting/mating on our farm. I plan on heading up there in the next week or so just to check things out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
