I just laugh at these guys coming in here talking all big. There's a place for that in the trash talk thread.

This thread is for real turkey hunters only.

I can hear it now..... TEAM OVERLOAD: The Undisputed Kings of Turkey Hunting

Well I went out scouting to some public land Sunday morning. I didn't hear or see any birds. I was kinda bummed about that. We know they're in there though. It's roughly a 2000 acre tract of land and I'm not too familiar with it. My buddy and I are planning on going back out in the next week or so. He know the land better than I, plus he has a GPS so we won't get lost.

The land is all woods...no fields at all. That sucks. I would think that the strutting zones would be in the roads and in some of the pines that aren't so thick. I've got 3 weeks to figure it out!

I've heard some people talk of them gobbling a couple hours away from me already. That's the area of the state that opens on the 15th. I don't start till the Apr 1.

I would have thought that I would have been able to get something to answer me. I was trying mostly for shock gobbles with my power crow call. I did use my diaphragm call too. Nothing.

The should be breaking up the winter groups very, very soon with all this warm weather we've had. It's been in the upper 70s-low 80s the last 4-5 days.

I would think they would too. I pretty much rely on morning gobbling to let me know where the turkeys are. But ive been hunting the same properties for 7 years now and they are always relatively in the same place.
