Sorry I haven't been around as much lately fellas. I've been sick for a month now. First I had a sinus infection and then I got strep throat. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired! I can't even drive around practicing with my mouth calls in the truck since I don't want to get sickly germs on them.

Its been tough to be pumped about the season coming up since I've felt like crap for so long. It's really getting to me. I'm on meds now so hopefully that will clear things up.

Anyways...I'm headed to an NWTF banquet tonight so hopefully I'll win some good stuff!

Those NWTF banquets are always sweet. My buddy won the grand prize at ours last year.

Those NWTF Banquets have some ridiculous prizes. They give away some killer stuff. Better than an other banquets I've ever been too.

Caleb- Where are you going trout fishing in PA this spring?

I live right on the shorelineof Lake Michiganso I hit the rivers hard come springtime for the trout run. It's ridiculous when the run hard, you can stand right in the rapids and grab them with your hands. Same with the Kings and Cohos. I love river fishing for trout and salmon. It's a blast hooking into some of the slobs the migrate up river. Especially in fall when theKings run and you can hook them 25-30 pounders.

I'm feeling a lot better today...still not 100% but I think I'm finally starting to kick this thing.

I went to the banquet and I walked out of there with a toaster oven, a table top/hand painted gobbler, and a .22 Marlin! Not bad! I was hoping for one of the shotguns but I wasn't gonna say no to a new gun. Now I have to see if I can find some damn ammo for it! Obama! [:'(]

Dave- If that .22 is semi-auto you better bury while you still have time! It's not just "Assault Rifles" they wanna ban, it's any semi-auto rifle!

Yes it is a semi auto but I don't think they want to ban rim fire semis. I could be wrong though. I might not be able to shoot it anyways because finding ammo is like hitting the lottery!

As far as the bold quote...I'm counting down the days until is ass is out of there!

Dave you are right but we can't give them an inch or they'll take a mile as the old saying goes. This is just getting stupid but was expected out of this idiot. Unbelivable how stupid these Liberals are!

I like AR's! They are fun guns and inno way are manufactured to kill people. Only the guy behind it is capable of that. There is nothing different between a AR and and Remington 750 except that the AR is capable of holding more rounds. There only attacking them because they look "scary" and because Hollywood has painted the picture that AK's and AR's are killing machines. They don't care to look at facts, they just see what they wanna see.

That's pretty sad if you ask me and it's robbing you, me, and the rest of the law-abiding citizens of our freedoms that so many have died for.

Just ranting here. I think about this crap everyday because it keeps pissing me off and the only way to help it is to write it.

Wow sounds like you made out at the banquet..

So has anyone hearing birds sound off yet? Its still a couple weeks early here I think.
Spent the weekend at the farm cuz I had a lot of work to do, but I did see a lot of turkeys (mostly hens, only 3 longbeards)and a good amount of fresh sign. Lovin' the warmer weather.

While out bringing in all my stands for the summer, i saw a group of 2 longbeards with some hens. They were struttin' and gobblin' and i was droollin'. I really cant wait for the season to get here.

Ill look and see where in PA im going.
