Hey guys back from our opening weekend! It was one of those "thats why we call it hunting weekends" The birds were gobbling well but we just couldnt close the deal. We fooled with them and they gobbled but no cigar. Oh well thats why they call it hunting and not killing. Ill be going back troughout the season so hopfully we can close the deal.

When he hit the ground he got with the hens and left town. I plan to hunt new ground in the morning on the St. Johns River in St. Augustine, Fl so Ill let ya know how it goes! Good Luck Everybody!

Weather here has been bad so it's a good thing season hasn't opened yet. Youth season starts this weekend and regular season on the 11th. I'll be hunting locally with a gun on public land for the first two weeks. Once I put down one with the shotgun I'll switch to my recurve. I'm taking off the 24th and 25th for my birthday and hunting our family farm back east where the birds are dumber and should get a chance at one with the bow then if the weather cooperates.
