I made one out of a 30 gal drum - cut a 2" hole in the bottom and put a 1-1/2" dowl through it - when the deer and turkeys hit the dowel the corn spills out the hole in a small amount - I have seen them do it for hours at a time - last about 2 weeks -

I have the same setup as Hawgman; it holds about 200 lbs. that way you don't have to go to it to often about every 5 to 6 weeks.
I have a boat winch turned upside down to crank it up with.I have5 of these and 1 I pull up by hand (only 6 gal.).they work great.
the pipe feeders want work for me because of the hogs,(they will stand there and empty it) the coons also will work on the pipe gravity feed ones.
