Default Introduction and ground blind help

Hey all, relatively new to deer hunting here, looking to say hello and maybe get some help with stand placement.

I'm hunting a conservation area in MO, and have found a nice bit of water in a couple locations that I think might be okay. I haven't scouted anything on foot yet, so I have no idea if there are game trails, but it seems to have some potential:

Location 1:

Here I was thinking either the stand of trees immediately north of the water, or maybe the small group of trees to the south east of the water, across the little clearing?

Location 2:

Here I was thinking NW, diagonal to the water hole. in the brush.

Any advice? The first location is the top of a little bluff, surrounded by some small valleys. The second is similar. Thanks everyone!

First off here in Ohio i have found deer do not use ponds all that much for they do not need a lot of water to live and most will come from dew off what they eat, but the first pic i would go to the south where that little bit of woods connect to the big chunk. That should be a good edge for deer to travel, but would have to be on the ground and see what deer sign is in there. For sure on the second pic i would be on the south side manly bc that's a good edge where deer would have to travail to not come out in the open by the pond and to by pass going out in the field. Hope that helps but relay just need to put boots on the ground and look but that's where i would start.
