Default Ptarmigan hunt in Norway

I love hunting and I love filming, so here are some of my most recent clips. All filmed and edited by me. I hope you enjoy them, and that they will give you a glimpse of the way we hunt in Norway.

Episode 1 - A magnificient hunt in November (english subtitles available)

Episode 2 - Going hunting with my family

Episode 3 - Moments from the ptarmigan mountains (english subtitles available)

Incredible videos and very well done. Not much cover for the birds to hide in so I see they use the hills and ridges to hide and the hunter must be at the ready when coming up over those hills and ridges. At least you have Balder to help in retrieving those birds as they are some long shots and the birds drop far away sometimes. You have a good dog in Balder.

Thanks!

No, the rock ptarmigan don't have much cover, and especially when it's getting whiter during the autumn. It's a difficult but awarding hunt!

Balder is good, but can be better! Just need to train, train and train. And train even more
