Does anybody here know if I would need a licence or a permit if I want to bring my hunting bow to FL ?

I don't know about what you would need for customs but there is no license or anything like that to possess a bow in Florida.

I suspect that if you are coming here with to hunt your bow and returning to Belgium with the same bow it would pretty much be like any other luggage that you would have to get through customs.

I have only flown back & forth from the US to Canada and never any kind of permit.

A firearm would have been different.

You just check it in as luggage.

yes, I check it in as lugage and then the nice aircompany charges 150 euro for things larger than length + width + higth=158cm. This means any bowcase or firearms case. This means 300 euros just to bring my bow.....
this sucks......
I was planning on buying a new bow but now it's still cheaper to buy it in europe than in the US......
I explained this to my bowshop owner and the guy gave me this pleasant little grin and told me, that that's just a shame.....

Frank.

This is where a take down bow comes in handy, just put it in your main luggaqge no need for an extra case

Too bad there isn't someone here in the U.S. that can lend you a bow.

Rev,

thx but I'm bringing my baby with me, I don't have the time to get accustomed to another bow. I'm on my honeymoon remember....

F.

what's good about the whole thing is that there's room for a second bow in my bowcase......
