I AM THE WOODS

I've beento greenswamp about 5 times now, have seen 3 does, 1 buck(4 pt. pry weighin 120, rack not to impressive still a young buck) and 5 hogs, the biggest of which probably weighed somewhere between 250-300lbs. with black and grey color, i took a shot at this monster at about 120yds. with a 30-30, hit it and it dropped but as i reloaded lookin trough my scope i seen its rear end headin in the cypress swamp, waited about 20 minutes and came outta my stand to see if i downed him, searched for blood and thru the swamp for about 2 hours didn't find a drop. I was worried he would go off and die, so i searched again the next morin, and still nuthin...so apparentley i jus shocked the big hog...

I was in Croom for the first 9 days this season and the last 2 weekends of Crooms short season, seen a lot of deer pratically all of them does, seen one button spike, and another small buck, could not see how many points though, overall i was dissapointed with croom this season, real dry and not a lot of good signs of bucks, seen one good rub all the times i went out there, sat on it 3 mornins n two evnins...nuthin but a couple does! Although a dissapointing season for myself at Croom, I still hold faith that that area has big bucks, two guys i hunt with seen proof of this on two separate occasions, the first was drivin his truck out of the area we usually go when he seen a monster 10 point cross the road in front of him actually stopping and blowin and stompin the ground at his truck!!! He says it was the biggest deer he has ever seen in Florida! Go Figure!!!and the second guy i hunt with seen a nice 8 point but couldnt get a shot.

Well It looks like I'm going to be in Greenswamp the rest of the season, Its lookin good so far!!!
