Default How to kill ticks

I been putting myanimals in garbage bags and spraying wasp and hornet spray in it and tieing it shut for a day to kill the bugs and ticks before skinning them. This gets a bit expensive and has a smell for a few days also that I must air out before I put in the freezer after skinning. Looking for another way of doing this bug killing.

I think if you put the animal or skin in a plastic bag then place it in the freezer for a few days they will be dead.

Never heard of that. I always thought they would come of when you skinned them. Huntin over 30 years never had a problem with it before.

the bug bomb is good idea. the last thing you want is to have a boat load of ticks in your garage or on your property infesting your pets

Yes,They can get every where in a short time if ou skin them before they are dead.Ticks here in PA are getting out of control. You do need to kill the ticks before you skin them to keep them under control and out of your skinning area as mentioned above. The smell stays for a while and cost a bit, just seeing if any one knew of another way.
