That isn't my assumption. I expect the Barnes jag to be just as you describe. My suggestion is the spinjag could end just above the enlarged bore size section, and provide tips for different bullets...

Took a trip over to Spinjag's webpage. They've been busy. They do have jags specific to some Parker bullets. They did not allow just the tips to interchange, no doubt hoping for an occasional $20...

Yup, that is the reason for my concern. Suppose spin jag went one step further, offering interchangeable tips, with olgive and nose to match each most popular bullet. Would anybody buy it?

I suspect the 50 Barnes MZ specific jag was not designed with the thought of shoving a .40 bullet down the bore, where the 45 jag likely was. We'll see.

What has me confused is it is unclear if the tip size to order is associated with bullet size or barrel size. Clearly a 50 cal tip won't likely fit in a 45 barrel, but the tips vary by bullet style...
