Default Loose chamber or tight? Whats better..?

What do you hardcore reloaders prefer? I have a 270 that has always seemed loose from looking at the brass but I dont think you can overload it as after some fairly hot loads according to the books and never a pressure sign. On the other hand..my 7-08 starts getting a tight bolt lift if I even get close to max loads...in fact it usually falls somewhere in the middle.
