Default trigger pull adjustment

can anyone tell me if the trigger pull can be adjusted for a Rem. mod.6[pump] 30.06? If so, how? It' s always been a little heavier than I would like, I' d like to REALLY dial in some 3/4" groups.

You may want to take it to a gunsmith for that. All the rifles that I buy now days comes with an adjustable trigger. However, if I was to buy one that was not, I would not hesitate to take it to a qualified gunsmith to have it adjusted.

.75 moa with a pump is pretty impressive. Your desire to close you groups up a little more shows you dedication and respect to the game you hunt. A tip of the camo hat to you, sir.

I have been told that my 7600 rem pump can' t be adjusted with the factory trigger. I don' t use it for hunting but a gunsmith said he could do something with it, I just decided not to anti up the cash since I rarely use it anymore. My suggestion is take it to a smith and see what he can do.

I know going to a good gunsmith would be the answer, but from what I' ve been hearing from local hunters, the smith around here is a crook and not at all very competant. I' ve been tinkering with idea of taking up smithwork myself,as I already do minor work for friends around here. I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as to where to start to improve the pull. I' m sure there has to be a good smith on this site somewhere.

working thr trigger of a remington pump requires stoning the bearing surfaces of the trigger and hammer. If your not real familuar with doing this than DON' T, changing the angles just a bit could create an unsafe rifle. save yourself alot of grief and take it to a good smith.
