my all time most accurate gun is my savage 93fvss. The first group after mounting the scope and sighting it in was 1/4" at 50 yards. At 100 yards it groups under 5/8-3/4".
Well that wasn’t the case with my Savage 93fvss in the 17 HMR. My groups were more like a couple inches at 100 yards and ended up selling it...

Had to be shooter error because every and I mean every Savage that leaves the factory is a match rifle.

OEH , yeah you got me. It’s funny I can get under 1” groups shooting 5 rounds with my 6 mm but that Savage with that target barrel just throws me right off. Just can’t handle that Savage, I guess...

That savage might have had one of those really tight chambers and had an extremely precise groove and land measurements, Because everyone knows that them dar Savages can shoot. It just probably needed that Eley handloaded 22 ammo that is so hard to get...

I have some nice .22 mags, custom and factory but my all time most accurate gun is my savage 93fvss. The firstgroup after mounting the scope and sighting it in was 1/4" at 50 yards. At 100 yards it groups under 5/8-3/4". I shoot the remington v-max bullets and have 3-9 Nikon on it. I spent $225 dollars on it and it will out shoot my custom $1500 rig. For the price you can't go wrong and now they offer the accutrigger on them. Awesome coyote gun!!!!

If I had a $1500 custom rig that shot thatbad. I would take it back. I have aLH Savage 22 magnum. It makes a nice truck gun. But it by no means shoots as good as you say yours does. It will do about 1-1/2 inches at 100 yards. This is perfectly good acceptable accuracy for a 22 magnum for ground hog's. But to try and compare a Savage to a Kimber??? Sorry. That is like comparing a Cadillac to a Pinto.

You may be one of the lucky ones that has a Savage that shoots that well. But I will put my Kimber's up against the Savage's any day.Tom.
