Does anyone know if all red dot scopes made to work on shotguns?
Any specific model you guys recomend especialy for shoting slugs?
P.S.:will mount on a mossburg 500.
All feedback is apreciated.

RE: which red dot scopes for slugs?
i can reccomend the BSA 42mm reddot but ive never used it one a shotgun, only my .357. i would use it on a shot gun if i had the need to though. i have no doubts about its ability to perform. though you might be a able to use a 30mm objective too. the 42 is almost too big for my .357

What about the Simmons Pro Diamond? Is it as good as a red dot? I am between getting a red dot or a Pro Diamond. My gun is a Mossberg 12, 835 Ulti Mag, 28 inch camo.
Thanks Joe

I have thought about getting one myself but didn't like how big the dots were past 25 yards. I finally saw one in the cabeloas christmas catalog with crosshairs instead of a 5moa dot. Might be getting one for my shotgun and maybe my .444 Marlin.

RE: which red dot scopes for slugs?
I got a Bushnell Trophy with 4 different reticles for my Remmington 870 SPS Slug gun about a month ago and so far I love it - my only worry about red dots is will battery die just as I am aiming at a deer ...

RE: which red dot scopes for slugs?
i have a simmons red dot scope i bought in one of those end of hunting sales through red head. cost me only $70.00 and has worked decent for me. i had it on my rem 1100 with a rifled barrel for 3 years. good out to about 75yds. kept the zero pretty good.
