Default Mossberg 835 trigger adjustment

I need info on lightening the trigger pull on my 835 ulti-mag turkey gun. Has anyone here done that, and can it be adjusted factory? Or aftermarket trigger maybe?

Thanks.

Nope nope and nope, bout the only thing you could do is polish up the contact spots between the sear and hammer. something i dont recommend doing yourself take it to a compitant gunsmith. Might I ask why you want to soften the trigger on a shotgun?? from my experience mossbergs already have the softest trigger compared to other shotgun makers.

The trigger is Very tight and hard to pull compared to my 870 and every other shotgun I've shot. Im not comfortable with the trigger, its ashamed too cause its a good turkey good.

Obviously you have never handled a Mossberg 695.LOL Worst case of lawyer trigger I have ever seen. Mine is at a crisp 9 1/2 pounds!

I took mine to a gunsmith and he lightened it for like $30.00. Now it feels kind of sloppy.

You can do a trigger job on them but unless you know what you are doing don't attempt it yourself.

both of my mossbergs one is a 500 the other is a 835 they both break at just over 4 lbs IMO thats plenty soft you dont need a hair trigger on a shotgun especially one you hunt with anything lighter then say 2 to 3 lbs id say you are askin for trouble.
