Default Do you hunt the animal or the meal?

I have done all different kinds of hunting and fishing my entire life. Over time I can see i have gravitated. Not to the most exciting hunts or exotic animals, but to game that i enjoy eating the most. For example I love venison and pheasant, but dont care much for the taste of duck. Guess where I am in the fall. Wondering where people stand on this. Do you go after the game or the meal?

Both! The game I chase after is my favorite to eat and to hunt!

Bream
Whitetails
Turkeys and
Bullfrogs

Protect your hunting rights, "Spay or neuter a liberal."

I think I understand where you are coming from but I see no reason why a person can't do both.

Antler, I guess I should have added "both" to the options, cause I agree with you. Doing both is perfectly acceptable.

I do it for the meat! Athough I did see the biggest rack this year and ignored all else. Unfortunately my freezer is empty this year.

Both. Either is an acceptable reason to hunt something. Some just have a tastier reward.

I would say both also. What I enjoy to eat I also love to hunt. I did enjoy hunting duck the few times that I've gone but I didn't like eating it. Needless to say I haven't felt the urge to go back yet.
ELK Turkey and Deer, I can't wait for those seasons to come back around. I'm out there as much as I possibly can during those seasons.
