You mean people still use that piddley little ole standard load for .45LC??? I do in my old SAA but not in my moderns. Slowest load I load up is a 300gr at right around 1300fps.

Oh Boy!
Purchased 100 of these exact bullets a month-ago and never knew prior that two different styles of the Deep Curl exist.
I'll put two drops of superglue in every bullet HP cavity, then a rubberband around the top & bottom.

I've been reading the results of the awesome captured bullet thread and just thought I would reference my pictures of field work on a unicorn I shot last season @ 110 yrds, 90 gr BH 209 with the 250 gr deep curl / gold dots. Basically same entrance / exit wounds as I had on the rest of the deer that I've harvested with this bullet. However, judging from the captured bullet thread, I might check some others out too (especially since I just ran out of my box of 250's and they're oos everywhere).

Since you like 250 grain bullets, take these puppies out for a spin and see if your rifle likes them. https://www.knightrifles.com/product...oader-bullets/
It's hard to argue with the terminal performance of those bullets. They aren't range bullets by any means but they are plenty accurate for hunting. Not saying they aren't quite accurate but they aren't designed for paper punching .3 MOA holes at 150 yards. I get them to group just a tick under an inch at 100 on a 5 shot string. More than enough for hunting accuracy. And honestly, I don't think I have ever read a single complaint about performance on game. I personally like and shoot the 220gr but not with the supplied sabot. I use Harvester Crush Rib. Just loads better in my fairly tight barrels.

Those look great - I will try some. I can't remember why, but I also was using the crushed rib on my bullets - but they took a lot of force to load. IIRC, they shot better than the gd's with the mmp sabots that loaded easier. Looking forward to getting some range time to play around with new ammo.
