Well there you guys go... now you're gonna have me pullin' barrels and checking for markings! I know my first T/C Hawken .50 percussion has a spade and my Hawken .45 flinter has a Maltese cross, but I'd have to check the rest of the herd for what marks they're branded with. It may take a little time, you boys realize I have 18 T/C muzzleloaders now don't ya?

Well guys, here's the reply to my inquiry to the current TC/S&W Customer Service (?).

Thanks for contacting Thompson/Center. That level of information we're not
privy to here in customer service. Plus, those guns were only produced when the
company was in N.H. and was solely owned by Thompson/Center. One idea I have
for you is that you contact thompsoncenterassociation.com. They are committed
to keeping record of old Thompson/Center product, and I'd imagine, if anyone
knows, it's them.

Smith&Wesson values its customers and we are happy to have served you
today. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further
assistance.

Regards, Will

Yeah right! S&W values their customers, as long as they don't own a sidelock.

At least they wrote back. And with a possible source of information. Not often will a lot of companies even go that far anymore.

Still a far cry from what TC used to be.

I was born and brought up in Springfield Mass where S&W is. I could tell you some stories about them that would curl you nose hairs.
