Sabots for a tight T/C Triumph

When I see that stuff, it makes me wander what the hell they are shooting them into. I have heard and seen the same **** with shockwaves or sst's, I have never been able to duplicate the findings on whitetails.

Well that makes two of us. I have used Shock Waves ever since they came on the market. I use regular yellow tips for loads under 1800 and the blue tip Bonded Shock Wave for loads over 1800 and have had consistant good results with 2 inch holes out the far side. Why some people Knock them beats me, I often wonder if they actually trythem or are repeating something some one said that was pushing something else.
This is the exit hole on a doe I shot this year with a bonded Shock Wave.

I've never seen anybody duplicate the results Max got. Even Toby Bridges likes the PT Gold, and has shown many kills made by them.
One things is for sure. If you buy them in bulk. It's a cheap bullet to shoot.
I'd like to see some elk kills with them.

Here is results of some testing of the pt-gold bullet done awhile back.

The same test done using the Nosler 300g Partition, for comparison purposes.

Another test using the 300g SOCOM bullet for comparison purposes.

Another test done with the Parker Ballistic Extreme.

Two more bullets tested the same way.

Given the favorable results of some bullets I consider suspect, and some pretty glaring (IMO) omissions, I am taking Max's conclusions with a pretty big grain of salt.

I mainly want to try the PT Golds to see how accurate they are, and in bulk (50 bullets), the price seems decent.. I might be willing to sacrifice a little terminal performance if they shoot dead on in the X7.
