Sabots for a tight T/C Triumph

Bought my 12 year old a new Triumph. Gun shoots 250 grain Superglidea real nice. Only problem is they are so tight going down the bore. I can wrestle them down but my son can't. And don't even try to get one down if you don't swab between shots.

All suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I use these in my Triumph shot better then the T/C Shockwaves, and I love the performance they give on game

New Triumph often needs the bore polished to load well. Try 100 strokes with JB bore polish. If still tight use Harvester Crush Rib if in doubt E-mail me I can aend a few in an envlope to try.

I had to switch to the crushed rib harvester's and I went ahead and ordered some pt golds, why I was at it. They load like a dream and the accuracy is excellant. Will find out how well they do on deer next weekend, indiana firearm season starts the 12th.

That was even after the jb treatment. The sabots go down smooth as silk now, not sticky.

The Internet is such a great place sometimes. Thanks for all the answers....

I will give the harvesters a try. Looking on their website there are a few which could do the job but I can't for the life of me find the size of the 250 grain shockwaves. Can anyone tell me which size to use for them?

Thanks again folks!

I know what you mean. I hate when the package doesn't state the diameter of the bullet. The Shock Wave will use a .451/.452 sabot.

With my triumph loading the Barnes spitfire 285gr sabots were a royal pain but after putting 100 rounds through the barrel of various bullets its easiier now. The other day I put 20 rounds through it without swabing it, awesome.

You just need their black 45/50 crush rib. When it comes to. 50 cal I am pretty sure all they have is black and red crush rib. As I said the black is what you want. The shockwave is. 452, that is part of the reason I switched to the pt golds as well, they are. 451, every thousandth counts.
